2017 Goals

Every year people make New Year’s resolutions. I don’t think this is a bad thing, but I think those resolutions oftentimes fade very quickly as people get more and more busy after the holidays. I’ve never really made resolutions in the past, but this year I’d like to make some attainable goals that will help hold me accountable in different areas of my life.

Health & Fitness

  • Hit the gym at least 4 times a week
  • Focus on form, not speed
  • Hold a 5-minute plank
  • 30 real, unbroken push-ups
  • 70 squat jumps
  • Eat vegetables with at least 2 meals per day


  • Plan meals for the following week every Saturday
  • Try cooking with coconut oil/invest in a high-quality olive oil
  • Share recipes more


  • Pray more for my husband
  • Build a stronger community in our small group


  • Read 6 books this year
  • Blog 1x a week
  • Go outside more
  • Become a plant lady
  • Invest in less
  • Take more pictures


  • Pimp out our basement and make it a space for fun gatherings
  • Organize our closets
  • Plan and complete four DIY projects


  • Paint and doodle more
  • Become better at explaining the “why”
  • Push/Challenge myself more
